Sherlock Holmes film review

I recently watched the film Sherlock Holmes which is fairly new, as it was released in 2009. My overall view on the film was it was exciting at times, with brilliant acting. The film was set out to keep people hooked, the main cause of this is the fact that Jude Law plays a mysterious and exciting main character.I enjoyed the film as there are very dramatic fighting scenes which keep the audience sitting at the edge of their seats. I also enjoyed the old victorian style of the film, to give me a view of what times would be like then, this was shown many times through out the decor, dress sence, language and hair styles. I believed the film was very cleverly thought out, with fantastic music and very mysterious characters.

However on the down side of things, the film did go on for too long, and had unessary part wich ruined the overall rateing of the film. I also thought that at certain times, the actors were speaking too fast and low that it was soo hard to understand what they were talking about. I understand that the film is about detective, but I found that he was being too clever at parts, in which I did not follow the story line.

But overall I though this film was an exciting re-make of Sherlock Holmes but has room for much improvement.
